Welcome to our garden restaurant!
Located inside Alma Nursery, lies the Groenhuijs, our garden restaurant. We have a tranquil outside terrace and air-conditioned indoor area is your escape from the city. Here you can enjoy anything from your menu with plants all around you. The garden and children’s playing garden area is a safe haven for children and their parents.
So, why the name? We decided to go with the Flemish spelling of the word ‘greenhouse’ for a number of reasons. First, because of our roots. Alma has been in the green industry for over 30 years and it all started with soil, seeds and green fingers. ‘Huijs’, which mens home in Flemish, Dutch and Afrikaans, is because, for us, home and family is at the heart of it all.
The food is made fresh, with only the best pure and honest ingredients. Heck, some of the ingredients even come from our own organic garden!
Reservations? No need to make a reservation, our tables are served on a first-come, first-serve basis. If we have a full house, you can stroll through our garden while you wait and we’ll be ready with a jug of ice-cold minty water.
